From First Call to Move-In

First Conversation
- Meet us at your property — or by phone if you're still choosing a lot
- Discuss your vision, style preferences, and rough timeline
- We assess the site, answer your questions, and let you know what we're seeing

Design & Planning
- Choose or refine your floor plan — bring plans you've found, or we'll help you find a design that fits the lot
- Select your construction type: full log, hybrid, or stick-built
- A deposit secures preliminary mill plans (for log homes, these come back in roughly two weeks)

Contract & Pricing
- Detailed estimate based on your plans, selections, and lot conditions
- Allowances for flooring, kitchen, appliances, and lighting — reviewed together before signing
- Clear milestone-based payment schedule so you know what's due and when

Construction
- Typical completion: 10–14 months depending on house size and complexity
- Weekly updates are typical once construction starts
- Once the house is under roof, a full mechanical walk-through with your kitchen designer, electrician, and a project manager

Move-In
- Final walkthrough
- Keys handed over, questions answered

What goes into the house

Foundation: Superior Walls precast concrete Interlocking steel and concrete. Resists cracking, and stays dry and warm downstairs.
Windows: Andersen 400 Series Used exclusively, on every build.
Lumber: 84 Lumber
Log packages: Timberhaven — center-cut white pine The highest grade available, for the homes that call for it.
Decking: Trex Years of maintenance-free wear, and no annual re-staining bill.
Interior doors: Solid pine, sourced locally
Roofing: Tamko shingles
Stain: Sikkens
Stone: Quality Stone Veneer

We buy direct. Years in the business builds a network of suppliers who sell high-end materials at reasonable prices, and dealing with them directly cuts out the middleman.
Two promises: your home is built of the finest materials, and we never cut corners.

Still looking for a lot?

Most of our customers already have their land. If you don't yet, these are the things that change what a lot costs to build on — worth knowing before you fall for a view.

Access — cutting a road in to the building site can be one of the larger line items on a rural lot.
Grade — steeper ground costs more to build on.
Utilities — how far the nearest power and phone lines run.
Well and septic — does it perc? Septic approval governs where the house can sit.
The land itself — the view, water on the property, mature trees.

One thing we tell everyone: clearing opens up views you didn't know were there, so be thoughtful about it — once the trees are gone you can't get them back. And buy a lot you love.
