My wife and I had never had a home built for us before. But we were lucky: we found Bryson Homes. We expected to have to bring them detailed plans — instead, Jason told us to send him some ideas of what we wanted, and worked with us to design it as a team. No architect, no purchasing plans online. He looked at it and said: we can build that. I had some background in construction, and I wanted to make sure that Bryson lived up to exactly what was in the contract. They exceeded that expectation: they did, and also lived up to everything they SAID, written or not. Little details we discussed in a call or text along the way, Jason stubbornly remembered and always honored.

I enjoyed visiting and watching the work: Jason had us there to watch when the foundation was set, and I visited often, even camped in the house along the way. I saw it in every phase, so I knew what was inside it, what it was really made of. All quality material and craft. They are very jealous of their reputation, and just won't use inferior materials or shortcut the workmanship, definitely prioritizing the results over the speed. They insisted on better choices, for their reputation, but also to our benefit.

We felt fortunate by the end: we had hoped to engage as a partnership — Bryson and us, working together to build our house. At every step, that's how they handled it as well; all working toward a common goal. I would recommend this company anytime — and have, many times.

We were getting ready to sell our business and retire, and we wanted a place where we could host family gatherings and create lasting memories. Our children and grandchildren live in Northern Virginia, and we are in Pennsylvania, so we decided to look for a location somewhere in between. At first, we searched for an existing home on acreage, but we couldn't find the perfect fit.

Eventually, our realtor showed us a piece of land that offered the space and setting we had been hoping for, with room for future projects. We were immediately interested, but since we didn't know anyone in West Virginia, we weren't sure where to begin. We are extremely happy with the quality of our log home in the woods and the way everything was handled from start to finish.
